The Strength of The Fathers' Love

Luke 10:38-42
King James Version (KJV)
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
This morning while soaking in the presence of the Lord, the Holy Spirit brought up this scripture.  Martha is a picture of many of us, we are so consumed with serving the Lord we forget to just be in His Presence.  Mary was simply at Jesus’ feet, just listening.  It is being in His presence, soaking in His Love for us, that establishes us.  When we are filled with His Love, then questions are answered and then we have His Love to give away.  For instance, when we spend quiet time just pondering His Love for me.  Then we know that His desire is for us to be whole, healthy, healed.  Then we won’t question, if the Gift of Healing is for today, or any other Gift of The Holy Spirit.
Jesus is our example of this as well, before any major event in His Life Father God confirmed His Love for Jesus.  At His Baptism, just before He was to be tempted, The Father announced This is My Beloved Son, In whom I am well-pleased.  In the Garden, before His death we see the same thing.  He poured his heart out to His Father, the Father’s answer was to send an angel to strengthen Him.  Father God continually showed Jesus His Love for him.  Whenever Jesus went off alone, He was receiving strength in the love His Father has for him.  How much more do we need this?  This is when our work for the Lord is most effective when it comes from the strength of His personnel Love for us.  With a deep revelation of His Love, we have no question of His Favor for us through Jesus.  Then we see The Holy Spirit work miracles, through us.
