Sermon after
Sermon deals with the negative, telling us how evil, sin is. To wake up, and stop sinning. We get definitions of what lust is,
fornication, envy etc… Now, be honest with yourself, during these types of
sermons what pictures and thoughts come to mind; during these sermons. Exactly!
We cannot erase negative acts, with negative teaching. I will guarantee after listening to one of
these sermons, that the majority of people struggle the rest of the week, with
temptation on what was preached about.
Still being honest, ask yourself if you know what lust is? Envy?
Stealing? Etc….If you’re an adult, then you know what sin is and that we
shouldn’t do it. We do not need to be
told, what sin is. We already know. Focusing on sin, only leads to
more sin and to a Romans 7:15-23 experience. Here is verse 19 “for the good that I would I
do not; but the evil which I would not, that I do” Can I get an amen? What need is there to tell an adulterer that
he is sinning? He knows he’s sinning that’s why he hides it. What needs to be
preached is solutions, not pointing out sin.
Adding to a negative sermon that we can’t do it on our own, we have the
Holy Spirit, inside of us. Isn’t the solution, if we’re still focused on the
negative.
Here’s the solution the Law of Love! Jesus commanded it! John 15:9 “As the Father
hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love” then he goes further and says in verse 12
“this is
my commandment that ye love one another, as I have loved you.” It all
starts with Jesus’ Love for us, to really know it. Here’s Paul in Ephesians
3:17-19 “that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend
with all saints what is the breadth, length, and depth, and height; and to know
the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge that ye might be filled with all
the fullness of God.” We get filled with all the fullness of God, when we know
deeper than “head knowledge” Christ’s Love for us. 1 John 4:15-17 John tells us to live/dwell in
God’s Love. It starts with knowing and
believing His Love for us, then we have something to share with others. So how do we accomplish this? We do as Paul
states Colossians

Holman
Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
2 Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth.
What is in
Heaven, Father and Jesus, what are they?
They are Love, so our thoughts should be on Their Love for us. Look up and Learn about Their Love for you. There are many scriptures on this Jer.
31:3, John 3:16, John 17:23, John 16:27 Psalm 139:17…….etc. Pick one memorize
it, speak it out loud, think about it (ponder/meditate): make it personal for
example Jer. 31:3” Father loves me with an everlasting love. I have always been
loved by Him.” Ask Holy Spirit to show
you in a physical way His Love for you.
Spend time everyday doing this.
When it is very personal then you are filled with His Love and then your
outlook on others changes dramatically, because you know His Love for
them. We can only be tempted with what
we think. So if we’re only focused on His
Love for us, then we will only be tempted to show others Love! It’s the truth, try it! Also, it is impossible to sin while so
focused on HIM! When living, abiding,
focusing on His Love we then know without question, that: Jeremiah 29:11 For I
know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace,
and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Confidently, you will then know He wants you healed, saved and
delivered. So let’s move forward and replace
the thoughts of negative thinking (not sinning), with the thoughts of God’s
Love for us! I challenge everyone to do
this and only positive results will occur.
Then we will walk with all the fullness of God. Then we will walk in
power, then when we pray for the sick they will be healed, and delivered and
saved!!
